Stormclan's Camp Clearing is situated in the heart of the territory, and heavily guarded by trees and brambles that make the area difficult to manoeuvre through for those unfamiliar with it. The fresh-kill pile & highrock are also situated within the camp clearing, as well as the various dens.

Through the dense walls of trees and brambles, a thick blue-tabbied body slid carefully into the camp, trying his hardest to avoid snagging his fur on the prickly shrubs. Of course a few of the thorns had to fasten themselves to him, only foreshadowing to a period of sitting to pick them out unless he wished to drag them into his nest at night. After only that passing thought, Aspenleaf was over it. He continued on into the center of the camp's clearing and took a look around with wide, eager, hazel eyes. Nothing much was happening to his disappointment, so he took a seat and curled his tail around his paws, keeping his chest puffed out and his head held high. He tried to keep a poised and mannered mien, but he couldn't help his fidgeting.

At the faint sound of grass being bruised underneath the paws of another feline, Meadowstar exited her private den which was situated beneath the highrock and crossed the clearing to approach the warrior. Meadowstar held a proud demeanour as well, though her expression was generally unreadable. To outsiders, the leader didn't always seem particularly welcoming. "Hello, Aspenleaf," she meowed in greeting and gave a slight dip of her head before seating herself nearby, her tabby-striped tail subconsciously curling around her paws.

Aspenleaf rose to stand at the greeting from the leader, only to sit himself down again, fidgeting and tucking his tail over his paws. His eyes shown curious and warm as he responded to the other cat, "Hello Meadowstar! How's the day been faring you?" He gave a genuine, wide smile as he awaited a response eagerly.

ThunderPaw dashed out of the Apprentice's Den, hearing other cats in the clearing. His eyes were bright and excited. In his hurry he promptly tripped and fell tail over muzzle. He picked himself up and shook his fur out, playing it off like no big deal before padding over to join the others. "Hey Meadowstar, hey Aspenleaf. How's prey running?"

Aspenleaf turned towards the apprentice and purred a warm greeting in response, his tail twitching as often as ever, "Hey, Thunderpaw. It's been faring well, I'd say?" he paused for a moment and looked quizzically over towards Meadowstar, tilting his head a bit, before turning back to the apprentice, "Greenleaf is usually a good time for all the Clans."

Serpentfrost watched with half-lidded eyes just a few fox-lengths away from the three, a quiet, content purr rumbling deep in his throat as he lay, limbs sprawled out lazily in the shade. The furry warrior was very much enjoying his little rest, however, it didn't render him any less vigilant, and as soon as Thunderpaw burst out of one of the dens and into camp, his gaze immediately snapped over to the young tom, eyes flashing and whiskers twitching slightly in amusement. What a funny little cat... Serpentfrost thought, his jaws opening wide in a quiet yawn. He didn't recall ever being as energetic as that back when he was a 'paw'... Then again, he never really had a reason to. His mentor had been quite the thorn in his side, and every time he'd returned from a training session, his pelt would've dragged something else along with him. Ah, youth..! Serpentfrost snorted at the memory and ducked down to give his white chest a quick, self-conscious lick before he turned his head and ears back over to his clanmates. The conversation wasn't very interesting, really, or at least not enough to spark him into joining in. Yet. Sure, Serpentfrost liked Greenleaf as much as the next cat, but... His long coat wasn't much help whenever the sun's heat started to become rather unbearable. Fortunately, camp seemed to have just the right amount of shade to keep him satisfied, and with another, smaller yawn, the dark brown tom laid his head on his paws and continued to listen, the corners of his muzzle curling in the beginnings of a small smirk.

Thunderpaw flushed briefly beneath his fur. Of course prey would be running well in GreenLeaf, what a silly question! Thunderpaw sat and began grooming the tip of his tail a little too meticulously. It was really a way to burn off a slight bit of the somewhat nervous energy that always seemed to be washing off of the young apprentice in waves. He was hoping to tag along on a hunt or border patrol with some of the Warriors today. Noticing Serpentfrost across the clearing his eyes lit up again with excitement and he smiled and nodded to the Warrior.

[as you guys probably know, sc no longer has a leader. Meadowstar will probably be assumed missing, so.. Aspen is going to go ahead and lead a little search patrol. Feel free to tag along!]
Aspenleaf looked around the clearing with foggy, pale eyes, gazing at the others with a poorly hidden anxious mien. He took a few moments before finally speaking up. "Hey, uh, you cats know how Meadowstar hasn't been...seen...for a while? Maybe we should just go look around for her, out in the territory? She should return at the end of the day at the least but I haven't seen her in a while...unless one of you guys have? I don't know..."

(Thunderpaw doesn't have a mentor, can you assign one for him Demo?)
Thunderpaw stood up, his normal joviality replaced with a deadly seriousness that showed the severity of the situation, as well as the young Tom's worry. "Can I come Aspenleaf?" He asked. "I promise I won't get in the way or cause any trouble, I wanna help."

[since Aspen isn't in any sort of high position spot I don't think I can, in context at least. Me & Serpent are the only warriors in SC as well...if you want, Aspen can just mentor Thunder? We could pretend it was assigned when Meadowstar was around, if you'd want to]
Aspenleaf nodded to the apprentice. "Yes, you can come. I'm sure we shouldn't run into much trouble since we're just checking the territory...and if we run into any other cats, I'll just explain the situation. So..anyone else, or will it just be Thunderpaw and I?"

(Sounds great! Thanks!)
Thunderpaw waited patiently at his Mentor's side, his face still serious. There was an odd unease in the air that made his fur shiver. Meadowstar hadn't been gone that long yet, but it just felt like something wasn't right.

Quietly seated by the apprentices den, Sedgepaw had listened to all that had been going on without a word. Normally she wasn't so quiet, but in the current situation she had many thoughts running through her head. She had gotten up late as usual, and had left the apprentice den just as she heard something about a rescue patrol- for Meadowstar. She hadn't known the leader very well, in fact, almost not at all. But you don't have to know someone to care about them. She was eager to find the missing leader, and to have a chance to get to know Meadowstar if- no, when, she is found. Rising to her paws, the she-cat headed towards Aspenleaf and Thunderpaw. "Can I go?" She asked. Of course she expected Aspenleaf to accept, just as she did Thunderpaw. But she shouldn't just assume, even though she was born within the same moon as her fellow apprentice. Aspenleaf might want her to stay behind to keep watch over the clan while a warrior went or something like that, after all. She flicked her tail, her green and blue gaze resting on Aspenleaf as she awaited an answer.

Aspenleaf smiled at the apprentice and nodded his head slowly. "Yes, you can come as well." He wasn't sure how taking two apprentices would go, but he assumed they understood the severity of the situation and would behave accordingly. If not, he'd just escort then back although that would take time away from the mission. After a moment more of consideration, he nodded again, though this time is was mostly to himself. "I guess we'll head off then. Make sure you guys stick close to me unless I say otherwise...we don't need to lose another StormClanner." With those last words, he turned and started heading towards the camp exit.
[I'm going to go ahead and create a search thread in the Woodland Graveyard board, so we can go off a'searching. The thread should be up in a few minutes after this post, so go ahead and meet me there!]
